6. How often is data updated in the Namibia MFL?

The Namibia MFL is updated based on revisions submitted by district officials, implementing partners, and the Health Information Systems Working Group to the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MOHSS) for review and update. The MFL data is the most up to date list of health facilities and their operating status, ownership, type, and location that is approved by the MOHSS.

7. How do you guarantee that the Health Facility codes are unique and will not change?

The health facility codes are based on an algorithm that creates unique codes. The health sector will use these Unique codes when referencing these facilities. The codes do not include the region/district that the health facility is in. Even if a health facility closes, this health facility will retain the unique code it was assigned when open and created in the MFL.

8. What do I do if I forgot my password?

You do not require a password to view the data in the MFL – password-protected accounts are only required for admin users. If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot Password” link on the account login page. You will then be directed to enter the email address associated with your account. An email will be sent to you with instructions for how to reset your password.
